Free Unix/Linux and vi/vim cheat sheets

Way back in the 1990s I created some “cheat sheets” for Unix training classes that I taught. Somewhere in the 2000s I updated them to make sure they worked with Linux as well, Here then are two Unix/Linux cheat sheets I created (way back when) that you can print out if you’re just learning Linux and the vi/vim editor:

This website used to be called devdaily.com, which is why you see that name on the bottom of the cheat sheets.

Hopefully both cheat sheets contain the most common examples, especially for when you’re first getting started with Linux and the vim editor. I hope you like them, and I hope they’re helpful.

As a final note, if you’re really just getting started with vim, my vim editor tutorial video on youtube now has over 175,000 views, and people tell me it’s helpful
